Buffalo Camp is one of three game reserves of Tangeni Tracking Safaris situated amongst the gentle rolling hills of Northern KwazuluNatal, near Dundee on the battlefields route. The Camp nestles high in the mountains and offers beautiful views of the Battlefields in an unforgettable nature setting. Buffalo is very popular amongst 4X4 enthusiasts and, apart of 4 four-bed A-frame log chalets, has splendid camping and ablution facilities. The central complex comprises of a large socializing sundeck and fully equipped kitchen – also ideal for family gatherings, hunting and conferences. Being part of Tangeni Safaris, controlled trophy hunting, photography safaris, 4X4 routes, mountain cliff abseiling as well as battlefield tours and white water rafting can be arranged. The Camp derives its name from the Buffalo River that runs through the 2 000-hectare farm “Buffelshoek”.

Game Viewing Buffalo Camp is situated on a game farm in a beautiful setting. Game viewing on farm -- also on foot. Controlled trophy hunting. Biltong hunting on request

Bird Watching This area has a prolific birdlife. Birding in and around the camp or relax with your binoculars on a sundeck lookout in the camp.

Hiking Trails Hiking on the farm -- also 4X4 routes. Buffalo Camp is very popular amongst 4X4 Clubs. A popular camping spot is in a rock kraal close to the ablution facilities.

Other Activities Tangeni Tracking Safaris' three farms -- Kameelkop Lodge, Ilanga Bush Camp and Camp Buffalo -- offers a wide variety of activities including Controlled trophy hunting (biltong hunting on request), photography safaris, 4X4 routes, mountain cliff abseiling as well as battlefield tours.
