This is the perfect stop over for weary travellers. The farm is ideally placed for a quick exit from the N3 national highway. We are also midway between Johannesburg and the Natal coastal resorts.
Should you wish to spend some time with us, Slievyre provides an ideal place for visits to any of the major Drakensberg Mountain resorts such as Mont-aux-sources, Cathedral Peak, Champagne Castle, and the popular Champagne Valley, Injasuti and Giants Castle (with its historic Bushmen paintings and caves).
If arts and crafts are your fancy, then the Midlands Meander situated in beautiful country is only half an hour's drive away. Two African Game Reserves: Weenen Game Reserve and Spionkop Game Reserve are also only 15 to 40 minutes drive away. Here game such as White and Black Rhino can be seen amongst various other species of buck,
Boer War Battle Sites are close by: Churchill's armoured car de-railment site, the battle sites of Spionkop and Colenso.
